Jennifer Schulmeister
Jennifer specializes in providing services to children and adolescents who have complex communication needs. High-quality, evidence-based supports are provided in a fun, play-based manner. Jennifer is registered with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA), Speech-Language & Audiology Canada, and the International Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication (ISAAC).
Since graduating from the University of Alberta in 2006, Jennifer has completed numerous certifications and trainings to advance her skills and better serve her clients. Her additional training has focused on the following areas: assessment and implementation of augmentative communication systems (e.g., dedicated devices such as Accents, NOVAChats, iPad communication apps such as TouchChat, LAMP WFL, Proloquo2Go, etc.), multidisciplinary assessments to diagnose complex conditions (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder), and supporting the communication of young children who have early speech and language delays.
